The knot is densely packed with pure badger fleece of the basic class. It exfoliates dead epithelium and massages the skin to prevent ingrowing hairs.

Natural pile shaving brushes require thorough drying between uses, preferably on a stand. After each use, rinse with warm (not hot) water and dry head down for 24—48 hours.
